Renowned singer Sanam Marvi has sent a legal notice of ₹50 million to Ahmed Shah, President of Arts Council Karachi and Jinnah Municipal Stadium Sukkur, accusing him of misconduct during a recent event.
Allegations in the Legal Notice:
- Ahmed Shah allegedly stopped Sanam Marvi from going on stage due to her late arrival.
- He reportedly used harsh language, physically pushed her, shouted threats, and verbally abused her.

Sanam Marvi’s Statement:
“Ahmed Shah punished me for being a Sindhi artist. Out of bias, he didn’t let me perform. My performance was scheduled before Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, yet Rahat was called on stage first.”
Ahmed Shah’s Response:
- “Sanam Marvi was made to wait for two and a half hours. She didn’t arrive on time, so she wasn’t called to the stage.”
- “She should act professionally. I will respond to the legal notice through proper legal channels.”
