Sindh CM Advisor Gianchand Essrani Vows Zero Tolerance on Polio Negligence During Jamshoro BHU Visit

Karachi The fight against polio is a national duty, and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated,” declared Mr. Gianchand Essrani, Advisor to the Chief Minister Sindh for the Rehabilitation Department, during his visit to the Basic Health Unit (BHU) Sari in Taluka Thano Bula Khan, District Jamshoro.
Mr. Essrani inspected the ongoing anti-polio campaign activities, reviewed the performance of vaccination teams, and observed the process of administering polio drops to children. He lauded the dedication and hard work of health workers who are striving to ensure that every child under five receives the vaccine.
He emphasized that eradicating polio is among the top priorities of the Sindh government and that complete coverage is essential to achieve a polio-free Sindh. The advisor reaffirmed that the provincial government will continue to provide full support to health teams in their mission to eliminate the crippling disease.
Mr. Essrani directed health officials to ensure strict field monitoring, maintain an uninterrupted vaccine supply, and strengthen community-level awareness campaigns to make the National Immunization Days (NID) drive a complete success.
He added that coordinated efforts are being made across Sindh to eradicate polio once and for all. “Our field workers are the real heroes,” he said, “who, despite harsh weather and difficult terrain, continue to reach every household to protect children from polio. The Sindh government deeply values their service and commitment.”
