DigiMAP Journalists Lead the Way in Digital Media and Gender Equity

In a spirited online meeting held today, members of DigiMAP came together with unwavering enthusiasm and commitment to the future of journalism in Pakistan. Under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Sabookh Syed, the gathering celebrated the resilience and innovation of DigiMAP journalists who continue to thrive despite professional challenges in the evolving digital media landscape.

The meeting highlighted DigiMAP’s pivotal role in shaping the future of media unions and journalist organizations across the country. As part of a pilot project supported by the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), DigiMAP journalists are now tasked with drafting a groundbreaking Women's Leadership Charter. This initiative aims to set a precedent for gender equity and leadership development within Pakistan’s media community.

DigiMAP’s commitment to progressive values and inclusive representation marks a significant step forward for digital journalism in Pakistan. The organization’s efforts are expected to inspire similar reforms across media platforms nationwide.
