Veteran actor Satish Shah, celebrated for his comedic timing and iconic roles, including that of the Municipal Commissioner D'Mello in the cult classic Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro and Indravadan Sarabhai in the TV series Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, has passed away at the age of 74.
The report indicates the actor succumbed to kidney-related issues. While initial information suggested he was admitted to Hinduja hospital due to kidney failure, a report citing his personal assistant, Ramesh Kadatala, mentioned the actor passed away at his residence in Bandra East, and they were awaiting final reports regarding the cause, with a suspected cause being a heart attack.
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit publicly confirmed the tragic news on social media, lamenting the significant loss to the Indian entertainment industry.
Satish Shah's other notable film appearances included Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and Om Shanti Om. He was last seen on screen in the 2014 movie Humshakals.
