Sukkur The Commissioner Sukkur Division, Mr. Abid Saleem Qureshi, presided over the Divisional Task Force meeting. The meeting was attended online by all relevant Deputy Commissioners, District Health Officers, DSMs/PPHIs, and DEOC partners. The DTF members briefed the Commissioner Sukkur on the preparedness for the upcoming December, 2025-NIDs, and highlighted gaps reported in previous campaigns.

Based on the discussions, the Commissioner emphasized that Mobile and Migrant Populations (MMPs) must be fully incorporated into micro plans, with prioritized tracking and mapping, and timely data submission through the NEOC App. He stressed that frontline worker trainings are the backbone of campaign implementation and that the stall-based training methodology must be followed strictly as per national guidelines.

The Commissioner further said that the microplanning process must be prioritized, particularly addressing the repeatedly reported issues in the micro plan of UC Babarloi in District Khairpur, where immediate corrective actions are required. He expressed concern over the persistently high proportion of still-missed children in every campaign and directed district teams to strengthen mitigation efforts, ensuring updated lists are available with all teams for prioritized vaccination.

The Commissioner also highlighted the compromised submission of post-training knowledge assessments in Sukkur Division and instructed immediate corrective measures to ensure timely submissions. He appreciated Ghotki district for integrating PEI micro plans into EPI planning and acknowledged the field revalidation of micro plans conducted in Sukkur district.

He urged the involving all stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the upcoming campaign and to interrupt the circulation of poliovirus. On the occasion, in his message to parents and community, he said that they should extend their cooperation with teams to ensure the vaccination of their all children under 5 years۔

Area Coordinator Dr. Jameel Ahmad briefed the chair regarding target. He told that 1258786 children will be admintered polio drops in all 176 union councils through Sukkur Division during December, 15 to December, 21, 2025. Accordingly, 4568 total teams will perform their duties during the upcoming campaign, he added.
