4,200 Candidates to Compete for 510 Seats at JSMU Admission Test Tomorrow
KARACHI – Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) is finalized to conduct its combined admission test tomorrow, Sunday, January 18, 2026. Approximately 4,200 candidates are expected to compete for 510 available seats across various specialized degree programs.
The entrance exam is being held for admissions into the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), BS Nursing (BSN), and BS Medical Technology (BSMT) programs.
Key Statistics and Arrangements
According to the university administration, a total of 4,839 applications were received from across the province. Following a rigorous scrutiny process, 4,200 candidates were declared eligible to sit for the exam. To accommodate the influx, JSMU has made seating arrangements for up to 4,600 students across both university campuses.
To ensure a transparent and orderly process, the university has deployed:
* 257 Invigilators for hall supervision.
* 8 to 10 Cluster Heads (Team Leaders) to oversee the examination blocks.
* OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) Sheets for accurate and swift automated grading.
Instructions for Candidates
The examination is scheduled to run from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. However, candidates are strictly advised to report at their respective centers by 9:00 AM to complete the necessary identification and security checks. Results will be uploaded to the official JSMU website shortly after the evaluation process.
