In Islamabad, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf chaired a meeting to review Hajj arrangements.
The Secretary of Religious Affairs and DG Hajj briefed the minister on the steps taken by the Hajj Wing. Sardar Yousaf emphasized that exemplary arrangements must be ensured for pilgrims in both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
He urged that pilgrims and volunteers should enhance the country’s dignity through their positive conduct. The first phase of mandatory training for pilgrims and volunteers has been completed, with workshops held in 107 cities to provide guidance on Hajj rituals.
The briefing noted that the second phase of training will begin immediately after Eid-ul-Fitr. This year, the issuance of vaccines, air tickets, and visas for pilgrims will start soon.
Arrangements for accommodation, transport, tents, and food are in their final stages. DG Hajj stated that better residences have been secured in Makkah and Madinah compared to last year.
The minister directed that all arrangements in Mina and Arafat be completed on time and stressed that no effort should be spared in serving the pilgrims step by step.
