Sindh Police on High Alert: IG Javed Alam Odho Chairs High-Level Security Review

KARACHI – Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, chaired a high-level security meeting at the Central Police Office to review the law and order situation in Karachi following sensitive intelligence reports regarding cross-border security threats.
The meeting was attended by Additional IGs of Karachi, CTD, and Special Branch, along with Zonal DIGs and District SSPs.
Key Strategic Decisions:
Terrorism Threat: Officials conducted a microscopic review of intelligence concerning potential threats to sensitive government and private installations.
Border Controls: The Additional IG CTD emphasized the urgent need to fortify the province's entry and exit points to thwart any movement of miscreants.
Quick Response: IGP Odho directed that Quick Response Force (QRF) units in every district of Karachi must remain on high-alert 24/7.
Enhanced Vigilance: The IGP ordered a "General Hold-up" and snap-checking operations to be conducted twice daily across the city.
Command on Ground: All senior officers have been directed to personally monitor security measures in the field rather than staying in offices.
