The education boards across the country have decided to implement the grading system from next year by abolishing the marks in the examination.
Under the new formula, candidates securing 95 to 100 percent marks will be given A Plus Plus (A++) grade. While the grade point will be 5.0 GPA.
Similarly, those with 90 to 95% marks will get A plus grade and GPA 4.7. Besides, those with 85 to 90% marks will get A grade and 4.3 GPA, and candidates with 80 to 85% marks will get B Plus Plus (B++).
Grade and 4.0 GPA, 75 to 80% marks will have B plus grade and 3.7 GPA.
B grade and 3.3 GPA for 70 to 75 percent marks, C grade and 3.0 GPA for 60 to 70 percent marks, D grade and 2.0 GPA for 50 to 60 percent marks, E grade and 1.0 GPA for 40 to 50 percent marks while Candidates securing less than 40% marks will be written inset factory instead of giving any grade.
According to the Inter boards Coordination Commission, the passing marks under the new grading formula will be forty percent. In the first phase, the method will be applied to Class IX and Inter Part I. This system will be implemented from 9th to 12th from 2025.
According to the new policy, students will now be able to take the exam twice a year. The supplement will not stain. Fail i.e. F's category will be removed and U i.e. unset factory will be written.
After all this matter, now the important step is to decide the admissions formula at the university level. According to Ghulam Ali Mallah, meetings will also be held with the administration of universities including HEC. According to the proposals so far, admission to universities will depend more on the entrance test than on the mark sheets
