Assistance of Press Information Department in election reporting to journalists of Sindh

Media Facilitation Desk (MFD) on behalf of the
Press Information Department (PID), an institution of the Federal Ministry of
Information and Broadcasting, has taken a positive step on the occasion of the
elections to provide support to the journalists of Sindh in election reporting.

PID's project for a facility desk to provide
support to journalists, a reporting desk equipped with computer and internet
facility has been built in the Pakistan Information Center (PIC), where
journalists can prepare their news if necessary. Support was provided.
In order to provide support to the
journalists, the PID also made the journalists of different TV channels,
newspapers and other broadcasting organizations visit the different polling
stations of the provincial capital Karachi.
Journalists associated with various newspapers
and TV channels later visited PID Karachi and visited the facilitation desk
while they also met Director General (DG) Press Information Department (PID)
Karachi Iram Tanveer. And the journalists also thanked DGPID for providing
facilities.
Director PID Karachi Khalid Miraj Abbasi also
gave the journalists a tour of the facilitation desk set up in the PIC room,
where journalists were offered the opportunity to sit there and prepare their
reports.
Expressing satisfaction over the establishment
of Media Facilitation Desk, the journalists appreciated the efforts of PID
Karachi and said that the facilitation desk will be helpful for the
journalists.
Director PID Karachi Khalid Miraj Abbasi told
the journalists that the said Media Facilitation Desk will remain active in the
PIC office for two days and during this time any journalist can come and do his
work there.
