A major initiative of the People's Party. The successful Naveed Anthony was nominated for the Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly on the minority seat. Naveed Anthony has been active in minority legislation and has served as member and chairman in various standing committees.
Naveed Anthony of the People's Party has won
the reserved minority seat in the Sindh Assembly. In 2018, he has also become a
member of the Sindh Assembly on a specific seat.
Jayale leader Naveed Anthony was a
member of the Sindh Assembly Standing Committee on Finance and Health. He was
also the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Transport and Mass Transit.
He served as Special Assistant to the Chief
Minister of Sindh from 2016 to 2017. He was active in legislation regarding
minorities in the Assembly.
Naveed Anthony belongs to Karachi. He
also served in the local government. From 2005 to 2010, he was the Vice-Nazim
of UC Jamshed Town in Karachi.
Naveed Anthony, who belongs to a minority community, has done a diploma
in Garment Technology. He has been the information secretary of the minority
wing of the PPP.
