Karachi- In a heartfelt letter addressed to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has voiced deep anguish over the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza. His words reflect the collective pain of a nation watching innocent lives being lost while much of the world remains silent. Hafiz Naeem paints a grim picture of relentless brutality. women and children killed without distinction, journalists silenced, hospitals bombed, schools turned into rubble. He calls it what it truly is: genocide. And with conviction, he urges the Turkish leader to rally Muslim nations, to unite in purpose, and to act before it's too late.
"This is not just another conflict. It is a moral collapse in real time," he writes. “If we fail to act now, history will remember our silence, just as it remembers Rwanda. Only this time, the world is witnessing every moment as it happens.” With a deep sense of urgency and hope, he proposes that "April 20 be marked as an International Day of Protest a global moment of solidarity" for Palestine. Rallies, prayers, and peaceful demonstrations across continents, he suggests, could become a powerful symbol of resistance against oppression.
