Decisive plan of action regarding the elimination of illegal
constructions, Director General Sindh Building Control Authority Abdul Rasheed
Solangi and Deputy Commissioner Central Fawad Ghafar Soomro chaired meeting at
DC Central Office, on this occasion ADC-2 Imran Solangi including all five Sub
Divisions New Karachi, Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, Gulberg and North Nazimabad were
also present. Director General and Deputy Commissioner District Central jointly
visited for inspection of illegal constructions while work was stopped on 2
different construction sites due to incomplete documents. According to details
It was decided in the meeting that strict action will be taken against the
illegal constructions as per the zero tolerance policy of Provincial Local Government
Minister Saeed Ghani .
In this regard,
the Assistant Commissioners and the Deputy and Assistant Director of SBCA will
prepare a survey report of the illegal constructions. A meeting will be held
under the chairmanship of DG SBCA in which the reports will be presented and
based on that the demolition process will be planned. Apart from this, a WhatsApp group of
Assistant Commissioners of all the five sub-divisions and Deputy, Assistant Directors
of District Central has been created to coordinate the joint survey of the
Deputy Commissioner and Directors General and for the subsequent thorough
demolition process. Later, Director General SBCA and Deputy Commissioner
Central visited the district jointly and inspected the illegal constructions,
on this occasion the officials on a petrol pump and public sale project did not
showed permission and required documents from SBCA.
Upon leaving,
the Director General immediately directed the ongoing work on both the sites to
be stopped and the concerned builders/owners to appear at the SBCA office with
the necessary legal documents. Further, the Director SBCA stated that the said
survey related to illegal constructions will also determine the involved
persons, in this regard strict departmental action will be taken against the
guilty persons.
