Special Assistant for the Human Rights Department, Rajveer Singh Sodha, met with Secretary of the Human Rights Department, Tahseen Fatima. The Secretary provided a detailed briefing on the department's performance and ongoing projects.


 


Karachi. 5 December.  Rajveer Singh Sodha stated that enhancing the department's performance to make it more effective and people-friendly is a critical need of the hour for the protection and promotion of human rights. He emphasized the preparations for International Human Rights Day, observed on December 10, and proposed formulating a comprehensive strategy to effectively highlight the significance of the day.


            Rajveer Singh Sodha specifically underscored the need to make the Human Rights Complaint Cell more active so that citizens' issues can be addressed promptly and effectively. He further stated that to strengthen the foundation of human rights in Sindh, it is essential to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, civil society, and the media.
