SBCA Observes International Anti-Corruption Day: Rally Highlights Commitment to Transparency and Integrity

On the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, Director General of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), Abdul Rasheed Solangi, emphasized in a message to officers and employees that corruption is not limited to bribery and financial irregularities but also includes breaching trust, misuse of authority, and violations of laws and regulations while performing duties.
He highlighted that, under the vision of the Sindh Government to combat corruption, SBCA has made significant progress in approving building plans with transparency, facilitating the public, preventing illegal constructions, and conducting demolition and other actions in a transparent manner.
To mark this special day, and under the directives of the Director General, a rally was organized at the SBCA parking lot in Civic Centre to express solidarity with anti-corruption institutions. A large number of SBCA officers and employees participated in the rally, holding banners and placards promoting the eradication of corruption.
The Director General noted that the negative behavior of a few individuals tarnishes the reputation of the entire organization. Corruption is a cancer that weakens the very foundation of society. The measures taken by DG Abdul Rasheed to eliminate corruption have been welcomed by the public and SBCA employees.
In recent months, SBCA has conducted record-breaking actions against hundreds of illegal constructions, ensuring transparency in the demolition process. Additionally, builders and citizens now benefit from an easy and transparent system for project approvals, approvals of commercial and residential building plans, and prompt responses to public complaints. These efforts reflect the commitment of the Director General to combat corruption and promote integrity in all operations.
