Community-Driven Solutions for Family Planning Highlighted in Pakistan

A dynamic discussion is underway to examine the achievements, challenges, and opportunities of community-driven initiatives in fostering healthier families in regions not served by government Lady Health Workers. Ayesha Leghari, Country Representative at Population Services International Pakistan, emphasized the effectiveness of the Rural Support Programmes Network (RSPN) approach to family planning. This strategy, implemented under the FCDO-funded DAFPAK project, actively involves communities, resulting in a notable rise in Contraceptive Prevalence Rates.

Leghari advocates for the nationwide expansion of this impactful model to address gaps in family planning services and promote sustainable health solutions.
