Ayesha Omar Denies Rumors of 'Lazawal Ishq' Being a Dating Show

Karachi — Renowned Pakistani actress and host Ayesha Omar has firmly denied claims that her upcoming reality show Lazawal Ishq is a dating show. She clarified that the show is a social experiment focused on meaningful conversations, long-term relationships, and the pursuit of marriage.

Ayesha stated that the format is not inspired by Western shows like Love Island, and emphasized that the production respects Pakistani cultural values. The show has been filmed in Türkiye and will be released in Urdu for Pakistani audiences on YouTube.

Participants will reside in the same villa but have separate personal spaces. Shared areas like the lounge, kitchen, and poolside will be used communally. No couples will be pre-decided, and all interactions will be based on dialogue and mutual understanding.

Following the release of the first teaser, the show faced criticism and boycott calls on social media. However, PEMRA clarified that since the show will only be broadcast online, it falls outside their regulatory jurisdiction.

The official release date is yet to be announced but is expected soon.
