Karachi An important meeting was held today at the Investment Department office, jointly chaired by the Provincial Minister for Livestock and Fisheries, Muhammad Ali Malkani, and the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh for Investment and Public-Private Partnership, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar. The meeting reviewed possibilities for launching livestock, dairy, poultry, and fish farming projects under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in Sindh. Discussions were held on promoting large-scale commercial farming of cows, buffaloes, goats, poultry, and fish to boost business activity across the province and to identify markets and sectors for the sale of milk, meat, leather, eggs, and other by-products. The participants also deliberated on suitable locations in various districts for dairy and poultry farming and on improving market access for farm products. Moreover, the meeting examined the potential to export milk, meat, and eggs to international markets, highlighting promising opportunities in Arab countries, China, Central Asia, and other regions. On this occasion, Minister Muhammad Ali Malkani stated that his department is fully prepared to provide all possible support for promoting farming projects. Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh, directed the Director General of the Public-Private Partnership Unit to extend full cooperation to investors interested in these initiatives. The meeting was also attended by Asad Zaman, Director General of the PPP Unit, along with business representatives from relevant sectors and other officials.
