PPP to Reaffirm Democratic Commitment Through a Grand Yaum e Tasees Jalsa in Karachi on 30th November

A meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party Karachi Division Executive Committee was held under the chairmanship of Saeed Ghani, President PPP Karachi Division, to finalise preparations for the PPP’s Yaum e Tasees on 30th November.
The meeting was attended by Waqar Mehdi, General Secretary PPP Sindh; Rauf Nagori, General Secretary Karachi Division; Dr Sharmila Faruqi, Information Secretary Karachi Division; and Dr Shahida Rehmani, who presided on behalf of the PPP Women Wing Karachi Division, along with district presidents and general secretaries. The atmosphere reflected unity, purpose, and a deep emotional connection to the party’s historic struggle.
Participants paid heartfelt tribute to the extraordinary sacrifices of PPP’s leadership and workers, sacrifices that paved the way for the restoration of democracy, strengthened constitutional rights, and safeguarded the dignity of the people. From Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the story of PPP is defined by courage, resilience, and an unshakeable commitment to Pakistan’s people and their rights.
The meeting reaffirmed that the Pakistan Peoples Party is not merely a political force but a historic movement of democratic struggle and public service, rooted in justice, inclusion, and the welfare of the people. It was resolved that this year’s Yaum e Tasees will be celebrated with full enthusiasm, pride, and renewed commitment, honouring the party’s glorious legacy and its enduring mission.
It was unanimously decided to hold a Grand Jalsa in Karachi, ensuring wide public participation to celebrate the founding vision and enduring democratic philosophy of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
