The Sindh High Court has rejected the plea to quash cases against the accused in the explosive materials case.

The case against Ghani Aman Chandio and Sarmad Mirani regarding possession of explosive materials was under hearing in the Sindh High Court. The court announced its reserved verdict, dismissing the plea to terminate the cases against both accused.

According to the petitioner, Sarmad Mirani and Ghani Aman Chandio were initially subjected to enforced disappearance, and later a terrorism case was registered against them, after which they were produced before a judicial magistrate. Counsel for the petitioner argued that the judicial magistrate had acquitted both accused from the case. However, the Sindh High Court declared that decision null and void, directing the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) to present the accused on remand before the Anti-Terrorism Court.

The petitioner stated that both accused are currently in jail.
