The 16th Aalmi Urdu
Conference 2023 presented by Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi formally
concluded with a grand closing ceremony where literary luminaries present
expressed their gratitude to the attendees for making the event a success.
Members of the praesidium and the audience passed the declarations presented by
President ACP Mohammad Ahmed Shah.
In the end, the esteemed guests were all presented with ajrak.
The Arts Council of Pakistan,
Karachi is grateful to the lovers of literature and everyone who attended the
4-day 16th Aalmi Urdu Conference, making it a success like every other year.
The book of children's oral drama 'Barhtay Chalo' by Ali Hassan was launched in the session 'Bachhon Kay Adab Kay Mashaheer' after which the panelists discussed the writers who chaped children's literature as it is today.

Panelists in 'Josh Maliabadi - Aik Yad' pade homage to the the legendary poet, who left a mark on Urdu poetry like none other.
The discussion was followed by a documentary on the life of Josh called 'Iktara', which was very well recieved by the audiences.

The second day of the 16th Aalmi Urdu Conference 2023 ended with the first Aalmi Mushaira where a number for renowned poets shared some of their best verses and garnered praise from the audience.

The resounding agreement in 'Asr-e-Hazir Kay Taqazay Aur Aaj Ka Nojawan' among the young panelists was that the youth in Pakistan needs to be allowed to explore new avenues and for them to not feel like they have to live up to certain expectations.
