Murad Ali Shah, a senior leader of
the Pakistan People's Party, who has been elected as a member of the Sindh
Assembly since 2002, has served as the Chief Minister of Sindh twice. He will
hold the post of Chief Minister of the province for the third time.
A civil engineer by profession, but a
member of the People's Party like his father. Syed Murad Ali Shah is the son of
Syed Abdullah Shah, the 24th Chief Minister of Sindh.
In the year 2002, Murad Ali Shah
became a member of the Sindh Assembly for the first time by winning the
provincial assembly seat from Sihun area of Dadu district. He held the
ministries of revenue, irrigation, finance, energy and planning from 2008 to
2016 in Syed Qaim Ali Shah's cabinet. . She was elected the Chief Minister of
Sindh for the first time in the year 2016.

Minister. After completing his term in May 2018, he was again elected the Chief
Minister of Sindh in August 2018 and remained the Chief Minister of Sindh for
five years until August 2033. In the recent elections, he was elected as a
member of the Sindh Assembly for the fifth time in a row from Sehun region and
now he is being made the Chief Minister of Sindh for the third time.
Murad Ali Shah was born on November
8, 1962 in Karachi. He received his primary education from St. Patrick's High
School, after which he graduated from NED University in BE Civil Engineering
and also received a silver medal. After that, he did a double master's degree
in the fields of structural engineering and economics from Stanford University,
California.
Murad Ali Shah initially worked as a
water engineer in WAPDA and then worked in Port Qasim and Hyderabad Development
Authority. He also got the opportunity to work in Citibank Sindh and London.
Also worked with Gulf Investment Corporation in Kuwait.
