At the instructions of Sindh Senior Minister
Sharjeel Inam Memon, crackdowns against drug peddlers are ongoing in various
districts of Sindh. During these operations, a total of 46 drug peddlers have
been arrested, and a substantial quantity of different types of drugs has been
recovered.
During the crackdown, 15 drug peddlers were
arrested in Tando Allahyar, and the following items were recovered from their
possession: 450 liters of liquor, 2110 grams of hashish, 3 grams of crystal, 10
kg of chalia, 100 main pads, and 70 harmful gutka mawa.
The Excise Narcotics Control in Mithi arrested
an individual in possession of 65 liters of locally made liquor.
In Hyderabad, Seri Police foiled the supply of
a large quantity of raw material to main puri and arrested 2 suspects. They
recovered 24 pieces of raw material and 500 ready-made mains from the accused's
vehicle.
The Badin police conducted a targeted
operation against drug dealers, resulting in the arrest of 24 individuals. They
seized 8 kilograms and 105 grams of hashish, 1435 liters of country liquor,
5965 safina/gutke, and illegal arms from the drug dealers in Badin.
In Mirpurkhas, the Excise Narcotics Control
team arrested an individual along with 60 liters of country liquor. In Umarkot,
another team of Excise Narcotics Control arrested a suspect and recovered 100
liters of locally made liquor from their possession.
Sindh's Senior Minister and Provincial
Minister for Information, Excise, Taxation, Narcotics Control, Transport, and
Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has praised the actions taken against drug
peddlers. He emphasized that the efforts of the police and excise narcotics
control are commendable, reflecting a strong commitment to combatting drug
trafficking and addressing the issue of drug consumption.
He emphasized that there is a clear message
for drug dealers: their illegal activities will not be tolerated in Sindh.
Sharjeel Inam Memon emphasized that people
should continue to cooperate with law enforcement authorities by reporting
drug-related issues. He reiterated the commitment to provide necessary
resources and support to enable the forces to effectively combat narcotics.
