'Coke Studio 15' opens with a Sindhi

The long wait for music fans is over
and Coke Studio has released the first song of the fifteenth season after a gap
of one year.
Coke Studio Season 15 kicked off with
the Sindhi song 'II', sung by new singer Nauman Ali Rajpar along with Marvi and
Saiban.
The Sindhi song's lyrics are penned
by Nauman Ali Rajpar and Babar Mangi while its music is composed by four
individuals.
The music of 'II' is composed by
Nauman Ali Rajpar and Babar Mangi along with producers Zalfiqar Ali Jabbar aka
Zalfi and Abdullah Siddiqui.
The Sindhi song was produced by Coke
Studio along with other artistes including singer Saif Sameju and the first
song of Season 15 was released on 14 April on YouTube and other social media
platforms.
The song was appreciated for its folk
Sindhi music, however the song failed to gain much fan attention.
'II' was viewed over 1 million times
on YouTube in a single day and was also shared by users on social media.
After releasing a vernacular song at
the start of Coke Studio season 15, it is believed that more vernacular songs
will be featured in the season.
Coke Studio 15 will release a total
of 11 songs and is likely to feature songs in Punjabi, Pashto, Balochi and
Saraiki.
