WMC Trainees Explore the Vibrant Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi

Karachi: As part
of their outdoor visit, trainees from the Women's Media Center (WMC) had the
privilege of visiting the prestigious Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi. They
were warmly received by Shahla Mehmood, the Media Manager, who provided a
comprehensive overview of the council's significance and its contributions to
the city's thriving arts scene.
Shahla Mehmood
elaborated on the council's mission to promote arts and culture, not only in
Karachi but also across the country. She emphasized how the Arts Council serves
as a dynamic hub for creativity, talent showcase, and artistic growth,
providing a platform for artists to flourish and share their work with the
community.
During the
visit, the WMC trainees gained valuable insights into the council's various
initiatives, including theater performances, art exhibitions, music concerts,
and literary events. They also had the opportunity to explore the council's
facilities, including its state-of-the-art auditorium, art galleries, and
rehearsal spaces.
The visit to the
