Tharparkar, December 4, 2024 – Dr. Tehseen Fatima Miano was invited as a keynote speaker at the International Year of Camelids (IYC) 2024 conference, focusing on strengthening the resilience of agro-pastoralists in Sindh, Tharparkar. In her presentation, Dr. Miano discussed the traditional and innovative uses of camel by-products and the value addition chain, emphasizing the importance of camel farming in providing health benefits and economic opportunities.
She highlighted that camel milk is a rich source of nutrients that can reduce the risk of various diseases, advocating for more attention to be given to camel farming to produce health-beneficial products globally.
