Hyderabad Expressing deep concern over the death of innocent children due to starvation in Gaza

Hyderabad Expressing deep concern over the death of innocent children due to starvation in Gaza, the central leadership of Awami Tehreek Central President Advocate Vasand Thari, Central General Secretary Advocate Sajid Hussain Mahesar, Abdul Qadir Ranto, Hussain Soomro, and Noor Nabi Palijo in their joint press statement said that global imperialist forces are committing genocide against oppressed nations. The atrocities by American and Israeli imperialism on Palestinians reflect the brutality of the capitalist system. They demanded recognition of the right to an independent Palestinian state and the return of Palestinian lands to their rightful people, warning that the Israeli occupation of Palestine is harmful to global peace.

The leaders further stated that, like Palestine, the resources of Sindh and Pakistan are also under threat from American imperialist ambitions. The establishment of SIFC (Special Investment Facilitation Council) is part of a conspiracy to snatch land and rivers from the people of Sindh. Under the SIFC framework, occupation is being carried out in Gilgit-Baltistan, the Seraiki belt, Sindh, and Balochistan. They stated that by blocking the water of the Indus River and handing over lands to corporations, 70 million Sindhis are being deprived of food security. The occupation of Sindhi lands and waters is a form of genocide similar to that being inflicted on Palestinians.

They said the corporate farming projects are in fact plans for the systematic elimination of millions of farmers and workers across the country.

Meanwhile, strongly condemning the campaign led by the Chief Minister of Balochistan in support of the murderers of Bano Baloch, the leaders said that Sarfraz Bugti has proven to be incompetent in establishing peace and order in Balochistan and should immediately resign. Moreover, due to his support for Bano Baloch’s killers, he must be included in the investigation into her murder. The leaders alleged that the Pakistan Peoples Party, being a feudal-backed party, is running a propaganda campaign against the oppressed daughter of Balochistan instead of ensuring punishment for her killers. Sarfraz Bugti, as the party’s Chief Minister, is supporting tribal feudal lords instead of justice for Bano Baloch.
