"Karachi Biennale Trust Turns 10, Announces KB27: Today, Yesterday, Tomorrow"

Karachi Biennale Trust marked its 10th anniversary with a major press conference at the Gulgee Museum, announcing Karachi Biennale 2027 (KB27).
The fifth edition, curated by Noor Ahmed, will be held from 16–31 January 2027 under the theme “Today, Yesterday, Tomorrow.”
The event introduced new President Atiqah Malik and Managing Trustee Shehnaz Ramzi, while Artistic Director Bushra Hussain showcased highlights from past biennales. In her inaugural address, Ramzi emphasized: “Ten years of Karachi Biennale Trust prove how sustained cultural collaboration can shape a city’s identity and direction.”
Following the press conference, a special one-day exhibition titled “Aaj aur Kal” was curated by Amin Gulgee and Noor Ahmed, featuring new media and installation works by 72 artists from 18 countries.
The performance marked the official countdown to KB27, celebrating a decade of contemporary art in Pakistan.
